This recession has badly hit all Internet players in India including google and so they are trying to built some PR about the success of online medium advertising in India and are highlighting a study and some internal google numbers to prove it.Google India is targeting the electronic goods retailers with some interesting numbers which suggests that large number of people research electronic goods on internet but buy it offline thus providing e - retailers a platform to advertise their products on google to generate leads for offline buys.According to their study (via mint)

  • For technology products, 56% are researched online but purchased in retail stores and 26% are researched and purchased online.
  • For consumer electronics, 53% are researched online but purchased in retail stores, and 28% are researched and purchased online.

  • 6.1 million mobile-related searches were made on Google in India every month.
