Brand week says that according to a borrell study says that Online Video advertising is likely to hit $371 mn this year. It also provides latest study of online video services and shows Youtube is well ahead adding 3.8mn US users per month who are staying longer upto 41 min on the site. It has nearly twice as large as audience as Google Video and nearly three times that of Myspace which are no.2 and 3 respectively.Other competition includes MSN video and Yahoo video respectively.
Another interesting theory being floated by the same borrell study is that online video is being used by print media to target tv advertisers and vice versa.I personally believe that those advertising on these services are basically looking at consumers who are already part of TV media so most of them should be TV advertisers only.
